Introducing the new Arthur X series

The Arthur mixer’s range of modular units is to be expanded with Schertler’s new X series (recently previewed at the NAMM Show in Anaheim). Fully compatible with existing Arthur Format 48 modules, the first of these latest units include a 4-channel mic/line module (MIC LINE X) and a new L/R master module (MASTER X).

The X series modules feature 6 Aux Sends for greater output flexibility and are therefore ideally suited to live sound use and DJ applications, as well as studios where more outputs are needed.

The new MIC LINE X module retains all the main features from the Format 48 4x Mic In, while offering three extra, separately controllable Aux Sends. The mic/line switching has also been enhanced so that opting for a Line level input now switches the phantom power off.

The new MASTER X module offers individual outputs and controls for both its L/R master channels and its 6 Aux Sends, with pre-/postfade options for Aux Sends 4-6. The unit also has VU metering for all relevant parameters. As an optional extra, this module can be equipped with Lundahl transformers for highest quality audio results.

The MIC LINE X and MASTER X modules are scheduled for release during the summer.

Schertler welcomes new Benelux representative

Schertler welcomes industry veteran Pieter Winters as the company’s new representative in the Benelux. Pieter has over 35 years of experience in both retail and distribution. In 2013 he founded Pieters Musical Agencies, which currently represents a number of international guitar and accessory brands. Pieter and his agency will now be Schertler’s official contact in the area, working closely with both dealers and customers.

“We are very pleased to welcome Pieter to the Schertler family,” says Schertler Sales Manager Carlo Gervasini. “His knowledge and experience will be invaluable in helping us further develop our business in the Benelux and we look forward to a successful working partnership.”

Schertler is taking Nashville by storm

The sound of Schertler can be heard all over this world-famous musical city as more and more artists opt to buy our products. US National Sales Manager Dave Schmidt reports:

100000 Schertler users and counting …

Our statistics reveal that Schertler products have now been sold to over 100000 registered users worldwide - a major achievement in the acoustic market. Many of these users are now on their second or third product from Schertler’s expanding portfolio. Pickups originally accounted for approximately two thirds of the company’s sales, with amplifiers representing one third. However, more recent expansion into the pro audio sector, with the Arthur mixer series and products such as the MIC500 preamps, now puts Schertler in the position to grow an even larger user base.

Schertler Marketing Manager Drago Dujak comments: “We have been delighted by the number of users who have joined the Schertler family in recent years and really appreciate the support we have received from ambassadors, resellers and the press - all of whom have helped build serious brand awareness. Schertler’s largest NAMM booth draws the crowds

Several highlights contributed towards one of the best NAMM shows ever for Schertler. A brand new 20x20 booth (our largest to date) provided a relaxed, open space for visitors to browse and explore a range of amplifiers and pickups. Attendees were also able to grab a sneak preview of the first new X Series modules for our Arthur mixer (read more about these here).

The booth’s handy location attracted a larger footfall than in previous years. Stephan Schertler and Drago Dujak from Schertler HQ, together with US National Sales Manager Dave Schmidt, were on hand to greet visitors and demonstrate product.

“This was definitely one of our most successful shows” says Drago. “We were in a great location for attracting visitors, with plenty of space for people to check out our products in detail. We also welcomed several high-profile musicians (who are Schertler users) to the booth.

Over the four days, we also held a number of positive meetings with potential new dealers and international distributors, which we are now busy following up. All in all we were extremely pleased with the overall response and would like to thank everyone who came to see us in Anaheim.”
