Enrico Fagone born in 1979, graduates with honors from the Conservatory of Music G. Nicolini of Piacenza-Italy under the guidance of Maestro Leonardo Colonna; He perfects later with internationally renowned Masters such as Franco Petracchi (W. Stauffer Foundation of Cremona) and Klaus Stoll (first bass of the Berlin Philharmonic)
He is the first double bass soloist of Italian Switzerland Orchestra and collaborates with other ensembles including: the Filarmonica della Scala di Milano, the Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, the Accademia Nazionale S. Cecilia, the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma e i Solisti Veneti.
Fagone is defined by the specialized press one of the most promising musicians at the international level and among one of the best double bass players in the world. Despite his young age, the quality and the vastness of his experiences (which range from Martha Argerich to Elio e le Storie Tese) are there to comfort those claims.
He says of Velvet
"With Velvet I finally found the strings that allow me to have the deep and powerful sound I was looking for for years ... these strings are perfect for all kinds of music. I use them with the pizzicato in jazz but also in concerts of Bottesini or in the symphonies of Brahms; With the orchestra always give me an excellent result! Velvet, thanks to exist"
