With an instantly recognizable sound and an original technique, Matthieu Saglio is undoubtedly one of the most exciting cellists of his generation. Classically trained (graduated from the Conservatory of Rennes), is one of the forerunners of the introduction of the cello in flamenco with his trio Jerez-Texas, which holds tour around the world since 2002 (500 concerts in almost 30 countries). Many projects also solo, duo and numerous collaborations with other formations. His compositional style has led him to be in great demand for writing scores, both for the theater and for television.
Experimentation guide all of its projects, in a constant contamination between his instrument, his style and the musical traditions of other cultures. Matthieu is ambassador of the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation.
